SVG files now sees Google Chrome as their default program,cant change.

No idea what happened just turned on my laptop and boom, my SVGS suddenly want to be opened by Google Chrome instead of my vector program, Inkscape. I thought, no big deal, even though I didn't change anything, probably just an error, I'll just revert back by using "Choose Default Program".

Yet, the SVG icons still show a big Google Chrome Icon and they refuse to be opened by Inkscape through normal double click means.
Any help is appreciated.

Windows 7 Professional.
In the picture below it shows Google Chrome isn't set to open SVG files and yet, the SVG thumbnails still show a Google Chrome logo.

Update:

Did a "Set Associations"

Found SVG, it was set to Google Chrome, went into other programs, my vector program, Inkscape was NOT there. Clicked browsed other programs, chose the inkscape file/application path and after clicking OK it was still not apart of the list.

If you're using Google Chrome, maybe it's grabbing the file associations behind your back? There might be a switch in its settings to stop it doing that - I don't use Chrome myself so I don't know.

As a last resort it might be worth trying Default Programs Editor - seems to be a simple standalone utility. I've used it to get more control over file associations than I've been able to get with Windows. If I remember right, one of the problems it solved for me was that inadequacy you mentioned where you browse in the Windows file associations gizmo to the program of your choice and it fails to appear in the list afterwards.
