Solved Swapping media buttons on tosh laptop to work with Winamp

I have a Toshiba L850 1d5 laptop and the F6 F7 F8 buttons are for media control play/pause back/forward etc these work ok with WMP but Ive had issues with WMP so decided to use winamp instead but these F keys no longer work does any1 know how I can get these to work with winamp?
