so i created a sync between my laptop and my desktop just to see how the feature works, and now it took up a large chunk of my hdd (around 5 gigs), and i have no idea how to regain that space. There's no options in the sync center in control panel to remove sync partnerships.

Can someone please help me?

Have you tried to do a disk cleanup to see if the data is there and remove it that way?

Have you tried disabling offline files in the sync center?

yes i tried that, but it doesnt give me back my space, it was 72 gigs before i setup the partnership, after setup it went to 66, and after disabling in sync center it still is 66

My Desktop is in a custom built airflow casing over the case. I still have the power button available etc . but the rest is cool controlled cold air going through the in and theoretically hot air out of the out. But it never gets hot enough for hot air to come out :-P
