Some backstory:
I installed iTunes 8 x64 in build 7000, but it wouldn't start. Selecting the Shortcut resulted in the creation of a new process, but no user interface. So, I killed the process and uninstalled, then installed the x86 version which does start, but cannot burn CDs (not a big deal).
However, syncing my iPod doesn't work. I select the "Sync" option which results in an immediate "Sync Complete" message. "I have just over ten hours of music on this partition, so there's no way it could have gone that quickly" is what I thought, and I was right; there's no music on my iPod.
iTunes is causing all kinds of problems.
Is there any way to sync an iPod (or just add music to it) in build 7000 x64? Alternative software (I didn't see any in the sticky) or a potential workaround?
EDIT: I found a way to make it work. If anyone is having any trouble, make sure disk mode is disabled (something I never had to do in Vista, but again, not too surprised by that) before syncing.
