I was trying to capture my image with my applicanttions of my windows 7 homepremium . I notice the cmd lines for image x and it only had enterprise/ professional versions.

I did it anyways and it did not work. When i try to re install i got a brand new clean imagine without any of my apps / settings i saved useing sysprep.

I was wondering if sysprep and imaigeX only works for Enterprise versions?

If so how can i make my own custom image for home premium.

this is the cmd lines i used

E:\imagex /compress fast /check /flags "Home Premium" /capture D:
E:\install.wim "Windows 7 Home Premium" "Windows 7 Home Premium Custom"

Should i buy some type of paragon or macrium image software to get the job done?

If you want an image that you can restore later, follow this:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/73828-imaging-free-macrium.html?ltr=I

If you want to make an image with the command line, this is the command:

WBADMIN START BACKUP -backupTarget:f: -include:c:

That images the C partition to the root of the F disk. This image cannot be restored in Home Premium but it can be mounted (attached) in Disk Management > Action tab. The VHD can also be used to run in Virtual Box.

Thank you very much and i will read in to this.

But before you do ill like to say i would like to run this custom image on multiple computers. And whould like the fast way possible. Ideally along with the windows 7 os install.

If you recommendation changes please let me know.

And can you clearly answer if i need a enterprise edition to do this?
