Sysprep Install Won't Boot

Sysprep Install Won't Boot after laptop teardown. I get:
"Booting from local disk...
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"

Does this mean that there is a cable not connected somewhere? Strange that it would Image to the Drive but not Boot? But I don't know the actual pathway that it needs to boot, I'll pay closer attention next time. Actually, I had this one apart Twice, because the first time I forgot to plug in the fan...lol...O-boy.

This laptop worked when I took it apart and seems to be all put together properly. It will boot from Linux and works great. I put in a new drive because the old one was no good. I used a known good Sysprep Image to deploy onto new HDD. The Image can be seen on the HDD and all operations completed normally.

What did you use to deploy the sysprepped wim?

If you use bios/mbr you will need a partition marked active, which needs to contain the boot critical files.

Check and see if the drive shows up in bios. Then check and see if it has active partition.

Thanks SIW2, I'm running a Startup Repair right now, I'll follow your suggestions.

I used what I always use, Macrium Reflect, with the Image coming from my WD Passport, and it always works like a charm.

Thank you for the boot media, but what is it? I'm using a Retail Image USB Install Media right now, and this is the same image that was using to create this sysprep image.

Wow, 6min so far on Startup Repair, I'll keep my fingers crossed. I chose to use Startup Repair, but now thinking I should have used Commands:
bootrec.exe /FixMbr
and
bootrec.exe /FixBoot

One thing I should have mentioned is, I believe the HDD was formatted as GPT. I figured that the Imaging process would just Delete and Re-Format before the actual Imaging, so maybe this was the whole problem, I don't know. Still Repairing and I forget how long this normally takes, I'll just let er run for a while.

I got it figured out guys, was something to do with there being some hidden partitions on the drive I was Imaging to, the Destination Drive had a System and Recovery Partition on it LOL. I think I wiped it with Windows Disk Management, instead of my usual MiniTool Partition Wizard. It looked to be wiped and formatted as GPT, but I guess not. I deleted them and all works well now.
