Sysprep Issue with NLA Service

Hi all,

I have setup a windows 7 sysprep image on a Dell Optiplex 780. The image works perfectly and installs on pretty much any Pc without issue (apart from drivers etc).

My problem is, that after rollout, when I connect the PC to a domain, the Network location awareness service seems to become disables (after it was set to automatic). I have no idea why this is happening, and though it is easily fixed by simply setting it back to automatic, it is driving me mental trying to figure out whats causing it.

In my unattend.xml file I set the network location to Work. Not sure if this matters.

Also, I have Symantec Endpoint Protection installed on the PC. Also not sure if this has anything to do with it.

Any help would be fantastically appreciated!

Thanks

Never Mind - Fixed it!

For anyone who is wondering, I have managed to resolve the issue. And no, it wasn't the mouse mat as someone suggested in an email (haha) :D)!

I was able to resolve this issue by doing the following (note, I'n not sure which one actually fixed the issue, as I done them both in the same session):

1) I removed the ati driver on my pc and downloaded and installed the latest version from the ati website.
2) I manually uninstalled all windows updates and then reinstalled them

Upon reboot, all was well again and the mouse hasn't acted up since.

Please note, this is a known issue in Windows 7 and I have trawled many a forum for a fix with no success. Hopefully this will help whoever stumbles upon it!

Cheers.
