If anyone could help me out with this image for windows 7 , I am getting a rearm error message " 1073425657 " I am not using an answer file, just going though windows\system32\sysprep folder and sysprep.exe. Is there anyway I can change the rearm number , since this image has a lot of stuff on it already. Thanks for your help

Why rearm ?. Why don't you simply activate it ?.

Hi

According to Microsoft , this error message will only happen if the rearm process has run more than three times. You should have created a syspreped image before the rearm count reached it's limit.

Assuming that you can enter in to "Audit" mode without issues, there is a workaround for this. Basically you need to provide an unattended answer file with setting to skip the rearm process. More details are covered in the knowledge base article.

An error message occurs when you run "Sysprep /generalize" in Windows Vista or Windows 7: "A fatal error occurred while trying to Sysprep the machine"

You can also try resetting the rearm count before running "Sysprep".
