Hi and welcome

If you install the game in compatibility mode (right click installer>properties>compatibily mode>check xp) It might run. Obviously an older game.

Good luck and let us know if you need help

Are you using a "found" version of Windows instead of a version straight from Microsoft? That could be the issue here.

I'd try to run from an elevated command prompt:

sfc /scannow

Here's the autoexec file for Windows\System32:

Well, I should be saying grrrrrrrrrrrrrr at you for the found version, but I am glad for you and your kid.

But I can't in good consciousness tell you things are fine. You are probably using a malware-laced version where the hackers are trying to steal your data, banking info, bandwidth, you name it. You'd be better off getting a legitimate copy or at least one where the hashes match the real version.

I'd run a good full scan after updating the definitions to latest, with Malwarebytes at the very least. And run a good root-kit check too.

You're welcome! :D

I have the same problem, I did everything as you explained in the previous writing, but can not start the game:cry:what's the problem then? Do not want to start installing the game, without advancing any error ...
I was desperate and confused
If you can help, thank you from my heart ...
