System File Checker did not fix all problems

I ran sfc /scannow and was told that some files were corrupt but not all were fixed. I was referred to the CBS.log. Can someone help me interpret this log (there are so many entries). I had the original OS installation disk in the optical drive while I ran System File Checker. I thought that SFC was supposed to fix all problems with the files involved.

Did you run the SFC /scannow three times? It very seldom repairs everything in one pass.
When the window pops up it can't repair all it has repaired some. Run it again.

I ran it twice. I'll try running it again & let you know.

It just can't repair everything in one pass. Sometimes the registry is damaged beyond SFC capability to repair.

Then you may need a repair install from your Win 7 disk.

If your still having problems please post what type problems you are having.

Even if I don't have the knowledge to fix the problem I can usually find someone who does.

Also, I thought I had to place the I386 files in my C: directory and point to them in the Registry. It's been so long, I've forgotten how to do it.

I386 is an old XP helper.

Not needed on Win 7. You only need the disk if you are prompted for it in Win7.

Try the above link. I think it's broken. In any case, I ran SFC four times with the same result - corrupt files which cannot be fixed. What do I do now? You mentioned a Repair Install. How does that work? Thanks....
