System freezes and restarts when strongdc++ is opened

My system freezes(hangs for a minute, works for couple of seconds, repeatedly) and restarts whenever I open strongdc++. But it works properly whenever strongdc++ is not being used. I triend uninstalling and reinstalling this software, but still same problem.

System config:
i5, 3rd gen, 64 bit
4GB RAM, 2GB graphics(dedicated)

Can you please suggest me solution for this problem?

The reason I asked is because RohitTheRedis using Windows 7 Home Basics. Why would such a programs be used with Home Basics. Maybe it can't work with H/B.

If you inform us what you want to do maybe we would have a better suggestion.

Strongdc++ is a file sharing software for direct connection(yeah, something like utorrent). And I have been using this software for over 2 years. I haven't faced this problem before.

Why shouldn't I use this software on win 7 HB @LaybackBear
