system image backup failure - 0x8007001B

Everytime i try to backup my system image i get this error.

Brand new comp, windows 7.....installed a few programs after purchase....

tried to do it in clean boot mode also..... looked at threads for a long time, and havnt seen anything usefull....anyone got anything to try! ive tried burning, got to disc 8, then fail....tried saving to HDD twice, once in clean boot, once not....both fails.... it seems to fail right at the end each time....about 1/4 inch from end of saving bar. im gettin angry LOL

did dskchk last night, nothing. was gonna do it again tonight as it takes a while.

Usually DVD related. Its not really a preferred medium for backup anyway because you may not even be able to read them in as little as 4 weeks time.

Try cleaning the dvd heads with compressed air.
