System is very slow after installing a new graphic card

Last evening, OCCT gave a CPU over temperature warning during an heavy and extended test. Did air dust clean the fin of my CPU. I did not see too much accumulation. OCCT advise that the test may cause a burst in temperature

- The previous card was a small ATI Saphir HD 2600 pro

- I will look for Direct X redist june 2010

Direct X redist june 2010 failed to install. Did look in the DirectX.Log. Message is files has been arlready installed.

Did Dx Diag and all test passed except for the 3D. Not tested because of a missing file

While searching, Windows Explorer did cease to functioning. Maybe I have a corrupt file.

Is there a tool to verify for a corrupt file in Win7 64?

Yes, type "cmd" in start menu, right click on it and click run as admin. When command prompt opens type SFC /scannow.

Scannow as not detected a problem

I will test the memory and see if it fail somewhere. I don't have any other idea of solution to test

Maybe the casing is over heating and affect the mainboard or memory

You keep getting Direct X/3d related errors and you used ccleaner & system mechanic. Maybe you should reinstall windows considering the mess those two leave the registry in. If you happen to use K-lite codec pack dump that too (not directly related to your problem but general advice.)

Never use K-Lite son won't look for that.

Never re-install win 7. I bought the licence from the net and I'm not sure where I store that number..... shame on me....

I will look for the procedure

I still suspect either a power supply on the border line or temperature. I lost Internet also once in a while.

- So Intermittent screen problem with portion of a background image
appearing in the actual front display
- Internet problem, Lost or major slow down
- Slowing down PC

Lots of problem since I installed this new card.
