Windows 7 Pro 64
Self-Build.
Earlier in the day,it was working fine, then late this evening, I turned it on,

Then it Boots into Windows, I see the logo, then quickly after this, I see my Desktop, for two seconds, then nothing, the screen went black.
I went into Boot directory to see my two hard drives are listed.
I then tried to Start Windows with Command prompt to load all window files, but the screen goes dark.
I did the RESTORE to an earlier time, and after it restarted, but the same thing happened again and again.
Could this be a sign that the monitor is going out? I do not have another 'spare' monitor.
This is all I need. I am a cancer patient, disabled, and have no patience for troubleshooting, and need to get back on the puter.
Hopefully, it's an easy decent fix, and this is not a sign that after two years, it's time to reformat, and install Windows again.
I'm on my iPod. Puter is off.
I can get into SAFE MODE, with networking, but need full function.
Thanks for any help.

Last night, I just gave up. Today I tried to start Windows again, and after three attempts, I got my desktop icons back. I started a Mcafee Virus scan, and left the room..about five minutes later, I noticed the monitor was dark grey, with one or two horizontal lines, every time I wiggled the mouse. I had to reboot into setup, looked around, and restarted windows using the START WINDOWS NORMALLY Prompt. So I guess it's not my monitor, if they go out, they GO OUT, but right now, i'm typing with my desktop, but something is causing this to be very unstable. I need to backup to another HD, before I lose the new stuff.
