system restore problem

I restored back to 12/3/09 and it fixed my problem,but I tryed to setup a permanant restore date and it went to todays date, when I took todays date back off and tryed to go back to 12/3/09 the earlyest date it would go back to was 12/17/09 and that is not back enough. How can I get back to 12/3/09

Did you select "show restore points older than 5 days" ?

If you did that - and it isn't listed , it's gone.

If you only just restored to that time - a restore point you make now will be the same for practical purposes.
