Has anyone ever heard of system restore running by itself? I have a user that came in for work and the system restore window was open saying that it had restored the computer to an earlier point in time and that the back up might not be accurate anymore. Didn't think this was possible?

Thanks,

Are the PCs networked under the control of a system administrator?

networked but not in a domain and I'm the administrator. The only thing I can think is something happened with the last backup that ran (backup to networked server, using windows 7's backup utility). When I went into the backup utility, it did say that the system had been restored and that the backup needed to be ran again. Just never heard of this kind of thing and can't find anything on it.

thanks,
