I have an issue with system restore not creating restore points. I had to do a restore earlier today and only had one restore point. This is not the first time i have seen this. The last time i tried turning off system restore and turning it back on hoping it would clear the problem plus i increased the size that it could use up to 5 gigs. But it is still only creating one restore point. Even when I have manually created a restore points they are not saved. The only thing I can think of it might be is maybe my antivirus conflicting with it. I use Comodo internet suite. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did u fix it??

This is more a check to be sure than likely.

Go to this tutorial in link. I know it is on or it would make no restore points.
Follow the route to get to the above picture.
The Windows 7 should be the only partition showing "On". All others should be off.
Click the configure button to turn them off if needed.
They probably are all off but the Windows 7 partition. Worth checking.
Of course you can double check that Sys Protection is on while your there.

Thanks I just check and there was another partition turned on. I turned it off now hopefully that was the problem. If I still have issues later on I will bump the tread back up. Thanks for the help

That should do it.

Go ahead and make a new restore point from that window I posted.

Let us know if you need anything else.

Glad to help.:D

Does your PC remain in "sleep mode" most of he time? That could be why it's not creating restore points.

You can also click the Configure button to add more HD space for System Restore points. I set most of my installs to 20% for more points that hang around longer. .

Often times a System can be saved with a restore point that is several months old. You are smart to pay attention to this.

Check periodically that no other drive has turned itself On and that Win7 drive is On with all options selected
