How do I set a manual system restore point?
All I could locate was how to restore the system to a previous point.
I want to set a restore point just before installing a printer.

Type the word create in start search box.

Click where it says create a restore point.

You are very prudent, you would be surprised to know how many do not take such precautions. You may want to make a system image, put is on an external hard drive and update it once a month, for nearly total protection in case of disaster.

well let me extend this question....i will ask in a new way..
I have seen some brand new laptops with a hard drive named "recovery" it has a system back up but in a complete new way....
like HP Invent Recovery partition....and some instruction below....how to creat that...

can anyone answer plz.....

I haven't done it myself yet. But I am going to do it soon.
