I was wondering if there is a way for me to delete items in the notification area/system tray. For example, i had a program on my machine the utilized the system tray. now that i had uninstalled it, i looked into the "customize" option and the program is still listed even though it was already removed. The same thing for another program i used, i didnt install it, it was just a tool that when i extracted out of the zip folder, and clicked on the program icon, it hooks right into the OS (it was an OS enhancement). I deleted that folder since there was no real program to install. That notification is still listed in the "customize" menu.
I hope this is clear enough to describe for anyone who can help me. it isn't a real issue, but i like to keep things tidy on my computer and it just annoys me. Thanks!
