OK it's annoying me now. Whenever I manually restart from the start menu, My system shuts down alright, just doesn't turn back on and most of the prompts I get from software or windows is the same, doesn't turn back on but sometimes it does. So never if I restart myself and sometimes when prompted by another source., but majorally.... No.

Hi there
Does it work if you put a bootable CD and then try and re-start. (Ensure Bios set to look for CD as ist bootable device).

Sometimes if you have a USB stick / HDD plugged in the system will attempt to boot from this first and depending on what "image" is on the USB device it may fail.

So ensure your Windows HDD is the FIRST in the boot sequence (or immediately after and CD/DVD device if you sometimes boot from CD/DVD). Also remove any USB devices until after system has booted.

If it STILL fails then you've got a MOBO problem or possibly some type of defective switch -- clean the mobo by blowing air through it and ensure any cards etc are properly seated (including Memory / Video cards).

Cheers
