I am working with a windows home premium 7 64 bit, when I push the power button it just clicks, the indicator lights on the front the first one comes on the second comes on bright then goes out the clicking starts out quiet then get louder sounds like it is coming from speaker. when I can get it up it works well, can navigate all over and do troubleshooting , nothing is showing up in that. then when I shut down and return later it will do it again, have to push power button to shut down and try to turn on again , sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't , any suggestions, I have checked and changed the power supply cord but nothing. any and all help will be gladly accepted, system is just over a year old. thank you all for any help:confused:

Is this the Dell laptop in your specs? If so unplug the power cable and battery, hold the power button down for 30 seconds. Then plug it all back in and try again.

Do you get any signs of life on the screen at all?

If so tap the F8 key a when you see the Dell logo to try to get into System Recovery Options to run a Startup Repair

Report back results and all behavior you observe.
