Systems Errors after this week's updates kB982776 et. al

I usually have Windows Updates downloaded and installed automatically. This week, I have had to use System Restore twice after the updates have downloaded. I cannot connect to the Internet or run any programs after these downloads are completed. You need to upload the data as file attachments, not as text.
The CBS file along can be huge - simply compress it first, and it should come down to
about 10%of the size.
