Hi,

I'm running 7 x64 and I like the idea of having the task bar disappearing when I don't want it.

I went into the options and checked Auto Hide.

It was working fine but then sometimes it gets stuck and doesn't disappear like it should.

What is likely to be the cause of this? I seem to remember I tried this feature on XP some years ago and it didn't work properly then either. It's such a simple piece of functionality so why doesn't it work?

There will be a technical answer to fix the problem, and someone will come by and share it with you and you can use that method. I prefer the easy way. If it were me, the first thing I would try is system restore, thats what its for and it got me out of a jam.

There is a known conflict between auto hide and wake from sllep. MS is aware and has not addressed it. I have had to stop using it. Too bad I like it
