Solved Taskbar automatically go on top of the the screen instead of bottom

Hello Guys,,

I'm facing a problem for about 3 days that when i click any click on the taskbar it goes automatically from bottom to the top of the screen I tried to fix it by scanning for viruses and it didn't work,, another problem that when i click on the taskbar a right click,, the list box which appear after that appears under the taskbar not above it so i can't see the whole listbox,, I have put a photo to discribe my problem ,,, please help me

1.) Please Run sfc /scan now using option 2 in this tutorial: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Please post back the results.


2.) You may have programs running at startup that is causing this issue. Please see this tutorial to temporary disable them and see if the issue is resolved:

Please follow Andrew's suggestion first. That might solve the issue.

I'm not sure understand the 1st issue (task bar automatically goes to top when clicked) - the screen shot shows the task bar at the bottom.

I've had the 2nd issue (right click menu under taskbar). I forget exactly what solved it, but try:
Right click the start menu orb
select properties
press the Task bar tab
set the following options
Taskbar location on screen: Bottom
Taskbar buttons: Always combine, hide labels
press apply, and ok out of the property window.

So what were the results of sfc scan?

That did not work does not tell me anything.

We can't force you to help us.

You either do or you don't. Your choice.

Saying vaguely "it did not work" does not help.

Ok, The sfc scan detected one corrupt file and fixed it,, and after a couple of restarts the problem had been fixed, thank you for your help Andrew appreciate it
