Hi guys , I recently installed Win7 x64 (dual boot with XP) and I have this problem that I can`t solve.
The problem is this: I have LG GH20NS15 SATA optical drive and whenever I insert CD/DVD in it it tries to read it but it can`t and everything is Ok until I try to access my optical drive then taskbar freezes and I can`t access start menu or any open programs through taskbar but I can use desktop and access programs that I have made shortcuts on my desktop .
When I try to open op. drive it gives me this error: Problem Event Name:AppHangB1
Application Name: explorer.exe.
The bottom line is I can`t use my optical drive.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

The Meat:
These Drives (GH20s10ATA, s15, s20) WILL cause Windows 7 to freeze/crash.
The firmware and drivers need to be updated before they will work. If you have Win7 either downgrade to Vista or Buy a new Drive. The next drive model up works GH22 series drives

The Vege's:
I just spent the better part of an hour getting bounced around Hold patterns before I was able to talk to a Tech Rep. Who's statements went along the lines of. There's no Win7 support for GH20 drives in the pipeline at the moment. We can't do anything else for you, however your supplier may be able to replace your unit.

I bought a new drive. everything now works. Window User experience of 5.7(due to slow HDD's. Everything else is sitting at 7.4 :))
