Solved taskbar in two parts, the left one empty

My taskbar on Win7 64 bits is divided in 2. The icons are grouped in the right part, and the left one is empty. I cannot manage to set it as one sole bar. Could someone help me? Thanks in advance.

When you say the left one is empty, whereabouts is your Start button?. Is is on the left. Have you had a look in Task Bar Properties. To do that right click on the Task Bar & select Properties, then check all the option shown to see if you need to change some of the settings.

Thank you. The start button is on the left. I clicked Properties, but I cqn find no answer to my problem.
The separatio s arked by a group of four rows of three dots. When I press the mouse on ita vertical line appears which can be moved on either side, but the icons remain close together on the right of the screen.
Perhaps I should try to capture the bar, as my explanations are rather fuzzy..?

Here is attached the screenshot. Some icons have appeared on the left art of the bar, but you can see the others are packed on the right...

Thank you for the screenshot. I have to say I have never seen this before
Do you have any third party programs relating to desktop personalization? I'm trying to work out the purpose of the 4 lines of three dots icon? Can you click and drag on one of them to see what happens?

I clicked on the one farthest right which stands on the left of the icons cluster and dragged it the farthest I could to the left.
Strange don't you think ?

I have no other program for the desktop.

Windows has had the option for multiple task bars from at least Vista - you seem to have created (or some program), an additional taskbar, if you right click on the taskbar there should be an option "Taskbars" where you can activate or deactivate those shown. You can also create new taskbars from here by simply pointing the system to a folder of shortcuts.

I have a taskbar that contains just one shortcut- The recycle bin - allows me to drag things to the bin when the screen is layers deep in windows.

The dotted lins shown are simply due to the Lock Taskbars option being off

Looks normal to me, you just have a lot of items running at startup.
