taskbar preview for only Microsoft software

Why does the taskbar preview only work for Microsoft Programs? Why doesnt it work for Firefox (multiple tabs), or any other non-microsoft related software?

The preview works for all of my software. Even videos playing in a VBox VM.

I think he means Firefox doesn't have multiple taskbar preview windows when you have more than one tab open with it. As it does work like that for IE. And also some applications don't have a jumplist history.

it is because developer of those third party apps havent had the chance of incorporating the changes yet (partly due to Windows 7 not even being released to the public yet)...

I was not aware that jump lists did not work for all apps.
 
They don't. Firefox is one of them. At least the history.
