Taskbar Problem

Hey guys, I just loaded windows 7 64 bit os and I am having problem with the task bar. When I open some programs like my anti virus software it will not open but the icon pops up in the task bar. When I run the mouse over the icon a small screen comes up over the icon but clicking on it will still not open the program. The little screen just dissapears. Even when you go to explorer and try to open the program it still won't open. I have several programs that has this problem. Can someone give me some ideas on this. Thanks

Click the Start Orb and type "cmd", right click the cmd.exe application in the list and Run as Admin. Type "sfc /scannow" at the prompt and press enter. Let us know the results.
