Running Home Premium on a laptop; AMD Athlon II CPU, 3GB RAM, and the taskbar disappears. I can access the taskbar setup dialog box via the Personalize screens, but regardless of whether I click on 'Hide Taskbar' or not, it will disappear--the whole thing, including the shortcut box at the right. The only thing that remains is the start button in the lower left hand corner.
I also have the same OS on a Dell desktop, and have no problem with the taskbar there. Evidently, I have done something wrong.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
Phil
