taskmgr performance tab frozen

Hi, I have recently installed win 7 64bit and have just discovered that all activity on the taskmgr performance tab is frozen. Both the CPU usage and memory are stuck at the same level and the history graphs are empty. Clicking on the refresh tab refreshes the CPU and Memory numbers but they too remain stuck. The Resource Monitor, however, shows everything in actual time. Anybody know I can fix this? Thanks

View > Update Speed, is not on Paused correct?

Of course it was. And of course it never occurred to me that Update Speed, being just below the Refresh Now might hold the answer. And that would have to be my first post on this forum. Thanks
