I am setting up a computer here in Los Angeles to ship to France for their office.
The French offices uses TCP IP Range 192.168.1.XXX - 255.255.255.0 - Gateway 192.168.1.20
Connected to the hub is the France computer: 192.168.1.31 - 255.255.255.0
Connected to the hub is a test laptop: 192.168.1.35 - 255.255.255.0
From the laptop I can ping the laptop: 192.168.1.35
From the laptop I can ping the Fr Pc: 192.168.1.31
From the Laptop I can do net view : and the France computer is listed: NAV2B
From the France computer, NAV2B, I can ping its address. However I cannot ping the laptop: 192.168.1.35
From the France computer in New View I see list its computer: NAV2B. The Laptop is not listed.
Before I send the computer to France I need to prove that the IP address is working. If I cannot ping the laptop I think this could be an issue.
This computer is with a fresh install - and this is the first instance fiddling with Adapter Properties.
I do know I should be able to ping both ways. France to Laptop ; Laptop to France. However only the laptop is pinging both address successfully.
Any suggestions please let me know,
Thanks!
