Does this trick actually works ?

1)open notepad and copy paste the code given below

code:

REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters]
"TcpWindowSize"=dword:faf0
"Tcp1323Opts"=dword:0

and save this file with name speedtweak.reg

after saving it right click it and merge with system registry

but in case if it messed u up (rare case exceptions are always there)

here is the code to bring back yur system registry to earlier state

again open notepad and copy paste this code

code:

[Version]
signature=$CHICAGO$

[DefaultInstall]
DelReg=Delete_Reg_Entries

[Delete_Reg_Entries]
HKLM,System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Param eters,TcpWindowSize
HKLM,System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Param eters,Tcp1323Opts

and save this file with name fix.reg and after saving again right click and merge it with registry

NOTE:- all effects will take place after reboot

No. Windows itself already manages those settings is a way the will work for both parties (the Server and Client). I would also avoid the advice given just based on an earlier post that stated: "20% bandwidth Windows is stealing from you". Which is 100% wrong and has been since forever.

The only time one should turn Window Scaling off is when you are behind broken hardware. For those that do not know, Window Scaling is part of the TCP standard and is for increasing performance.
