Hi!

I just changed from an awesome 6 year-old WinXP install to Win7 (clean install on a fully formatted drive) 2 days back and everything seems to be going dandy. But I was riddled by this BSoD problem from day 1. I figured it might go away on its own after updating everything to latest MS updates and drivers but it hasn't.

Ok, here goes:

My OS is Win 7 Ultimate x64 and have onboard Realtek PCI-e Ethernet as well as a separate Realtek PCI card that I used for LAN in WinXP. The current drivers are from MS Update (but the BSoD still shows up when using the drivers from ASUS and Realtek)

The BSoD happens seemingly randomly, I can remember the words "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and "tcpip.sys" from it - the rest seem like code and safe mode instructions and address ranges. The BSoD seems to proceed to dump the memory into the hard drive and the system restarts at 100.

Attached a zipped C:/Windows/Minidump folder.

Go to your computer manufacturer's site and download the latest Wireless driver/Lan drivers there

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads
You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

Remove avast and use MSE

I'll uninstall Daemon tools and the SPTD driver and see if it BSoDs again. (Daemon tools lite has an option to NOT install the SPTD driver too ... would that be ok? Personally, I'm not too inclined to use MagicDisc)

I'll try this if it goes blue after uninstalling DT. (not that I doubt you but does avast really have something to do with the BSoD?)

I'm inclined to provide a small update about this

Well, uninstalling DTLite didn't help and the BSODs continued. BUT I gave your suggestion to reinstall my motherboard's LAN drivers again and well well, the system hasn't BSoDed yet.

I'm paranoid though, so will wait another day before adding a [SOLVED] tag to the thread title but if this works, I really owe you one yowanvista!
