Presenter – Organizer – Participant

Licenses, Updates and Backward Compatibility
TeamViewer 7 users can still establish remote control connections with TeamViewer 3, 4, 5 and 6.
However, for technical and licensing reasons, a connection in the other direction, i.e., from TeamViewer 3, 4, 5 and 6 to TeamViewer 7, is not possible.
The new meeting features are only supported by TeamViewer 7. Due to the large amount of new features, meetings with version 7 are not compatible with any previous versions due to technical reasons.

The one problem with 7.0x is it isnt backward compatible with switching sides in earlier versions of TV.

So for example if I am running 7.x and fixing a machine on OP who has 6.x I cant switch ends to show them how to do it on my desk top.

The work around (for the time being) is to run both

Hm.. when this version have released ? When I go to Check for updates in my Team Viewer it say that it's up to date.

I have had it for a bit and I only have one complaint. It uses more bandwidth the version 6.x

Normally not a problem but when I am TV'ing a machine that has a limited bandwitdh and skyping with them at the same time, it sometimes kills skype.

Otherwise lots of new features including drag and drop support, etc.
