Teredo adapter cannot start

Hi,
been having trouble getting Homegroup sharing set up. For some reason the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface cannot start. I'm pretty sure this is my problem with Homegroup as I'm being told IPV6 needs to be running. This is on my laptop, on my desktop (just installed Win7 on the new build last night) it's functioning and gets an IPV6 address.

I tried disabling and re-enabling it but that didn't help. I also removed a VPN client that I thought might have interfered with it but it didn't help. I HAVE been able to join this laptop to a Homegroup, I'm not sure how long that adapter hasn't been working but until I built the new desktop and tried to create a new homegroup based on it the laptop has had no trouble connecting to it for the last month.

If I uninstall the adapter how would I get it back? I've tried reinstalling the driver but it tells me it's already up to date...

I've now tried removing and reinstalling network adapters with no fix. I know how to reset IPv4 but it's not letting me do the same for IPv6, and I can't uninstall and reinstall.

I'd REALLY rather not back up my data and restore my system image from when I set up the laptop but it's starting to look like that may have to be done, I just CAN'T get this working...

Look at the post that talks about manually installing the 6to4 adapter. When I look at my own system I see the Teredo Tunneling Adapter in the list.

Tried that, that gives me the same error. My next question is; how will a system restore effect my data files? I can do a system restore back to the day I made the backup of the system to get a base image. I can deal with that if my data remains as it is now, and it would hopefully resolve the issue. I can deal with updating programs again.

EUREKA, so far!... Found this post http://www.sevenforums.com/network-sharing/29513-ipv6-but-cant-join-homegroup.html after some deeper searching. It's fixed the code 10 for now but I'm at work and can't try to join the homegroup. I'll try when i get home tonight and see if it works...
