Does an XP and Win 7 machine need Teredo tunneling protocol IPv6 connectivity turned on to have a functioning home network (Teredo problem is on the win7 box)? My Teredo device has not been working so I disabled it and now I'm attempting to setup a home network between the two computers and I'm having no luck.

From the surface of things, i do not think so. Ipv6 is for use with Homegroup, if you got XP and W7 in the mix, then forget Homegroup, therefore ipv6. How are you wanting to network the two?

In anycase the key thing is getting them talking to one another, if they both can ping one another, no matter how they are connected to the network, you're set.

My tut in my sig is the old fashion cable method, however ALL wireless is the same. As i said the key thing is getting them to ping one another.

Really only looking to share the printer connected to the XP box with the wireless Win 7 box?
