Terratec Cinergy 1400 DVB-T driver blocked

Hi

I have problems with my Terratec Cinergy 1400 DVB-T TV card, which does not function in Windows 7 64 bit, build 7229.

Whenever I install the driver for it, it says in the device manager that:
"The software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)"

The newest driver, I am able to find, is version 5.0.18. When I look at the driver details in the device manager, then it indicates that the problem is caused by the cxavsvid.sys driver.
Does anybody have a solution for this?

I just tried the same Driver Version on a Windows 7 x64 Edition. It worked without issues. I tried the Vista x64 Driver Version.
The Windows Media Center seems not to recognize the TV Tuner with this driver and the Terratec Home Cinema 6.3 neither.
Ok, after a reboot I have the same issue than you. One Cinergy Device is working but not the TV Tuner.

Someone seems to get the driver to work if he presses F8 on Boot then choose "Deactivate Digital Driver Signature" (or something similar). Install the drivers with Vista Compatibility and reboot.
I haven't tried this yet. Could be that he is using a different TV-Tuner from Terratec.

I have tried the F8 trick disabling the driver signature, but it does not work.

I am afraid we have to wait and hopefully Terratec will make some working drivers for Windows 7.

I've found this trick from here:
Terratec HomeCinema mit WIN7 Final - DIGITAL FERNSEHEN - Forum

Open the .*inf File first, then search for cxavsvid.sys and replace it with cinergy.sys
Maybe also change the driver version if needed. Then rename the driver file cxavsvid.sys in cinergy.sys.
Try install the driver now. Code 48 shouldn't popup anymore.

I haven't tested it yet but will have a look tomorrow.

I have tried the trick and it worked!

Now I can finally use my TV card again without any problems. It is strange that just renaming the .sys file will do the trick, but apparently Windows 7 is looking for "cxavsvid.sys" and complain if that's the name of the driver.

Which driver have you tried? I tried it with the Vista 64 Bit BDA Driver 5.0.18.0 on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.

I am using the same driver, found here:

What I do is that I run the exe file above, and go to the directory
Cinergy 1400 DVB-T\BDA Driver 5.0.18.0\Windows Vista (64Bit)

I then edit Cin1400DVBT.inf file and do a search and replace of cxavsvid.sys into cinergy.sys in this file.

I then uninstall the old driver from the device manager, making sure that the old driver is completely removed, scan for hardware changes and install the modified driver.
Are you doing the exact same thing? Strange if it is not working for you.
