Testing a graphic card

Hello

Is there a good application to test my graphic card? I don't play game, only displaying charts with lots of calculations

My PC as 4 screens,
2 Driven by my Asus EAH4870 1GB
2 Driven by external USB to DVI

Slow down is seen in the fluidity of the mouse over my chart. And it is only view when the chart is over a screen that is driven by my Asus card


Any help appreciated

One thing I would do is download MSI Afterburner ( MSI Afterburner ) and along with it, Kombustor ( MSI Kombustor 2.3.0 Released (Download) - 3D Tech News and Pixel Hacking - Geeks3D.com )


Kombustor can run a basic benchmarking where it simply stress tests the GPU and displays a constant log of FPS and temperature.

Thanks, I will look at that.

I suspect a memory leak in one of my software. If problem is there and I restart the machine, problem is resolved for a while

In that case, GPU as the same temperature, only the memory allocation as been reset
I will ask a separate question on the forum

Hello James Thanks for the suggestion

I suspect a memory leak in one of my driver or software. Problem is resolved for some time if if restart my pc without letting it to cool down.

Anyone as bad experience with ASUS EAH4870?

Did the FurTest this morning
- Screen not refreshing OK: 1750

After a reboot
- Screen refreshing OK: 3119

So something is interfering with the graphic card and slow down the GPU card. Problem not seen if I drag the faulty windows application over a screen driven by an external GPU card.

Martin, it may be that you have a bad GPU. Since the issue is only occurring on the 4870, I would highly suspect that this is the case. Do you happen to have another GPU to test with?
