helloww I have a problem with my pc.. HP pavilon dv4- 1318TU having 4 gb ram and 320 hard disk, dore2 deo processer ... now im going to explian every thing... my pc hav windows vista inbuilt.... i upgraded... to win7 ultimate.. manytimes.. and now this time 1 yr later... i installed win7 home premium... 3 days b4.. and now too.... when ever i open any application .. this appears... THE APPLICATION WAS UNABLE TO START CORRECTLY (0X0000005).CLICK OK TO CLOSE THE APPLICATION ANTIVIRUS is not working too.. i did disck check.... NO ERRORS ... now m trying to install a window AGAIN... it is not working toooo............ HELPP MEE

Error 0X0000005 is "access denied" which implies somehow the ownership got messed up. Probably the Program Files folder. With all the installs things may be confused. Try right clicking on Program Files folder and clicking Take Ownership. If the selection is not there see this:

Naturally before doing anything make a restore point and/or back up Registry (google ERUNT) and/or do an image backup of your system if you have an external drive to store the image.

sir. u suggested to download the file...... and to extract ... but i told u b4 that.... application is unable to install or install.. i tried to extract..... ownership.. but again that error comes ... 0x0000005

Can you run any programs from a flash drive? If so get someone to download and unzip the files onto a flash drive for you.

Sounds like it's either that or a clean wipe.
