The clock gets delayes one or two hours each month

Hello guys!

i have had this problem since a year aho and now i want to try to solve it or to figure it out what is causing it.

the problem is that one or two times (rare two times, but mostly an average of one time at month) i find the clock delayed exactly one howr (i think i remember one time was delayed two hours)

i can assure that two days ago the clock was ok, but this morning i notice it that the clockwas delayes one hour. I have checked all the settings, and all of them are ok.

what is causing that?

well.. the times i have catch the clock delayed.. i go to bios and yes it is delayed there too (my bios time can not be set thru the bios, must be done in the OS)

Yes!
it is an HP NC series (laptop)
Intel Core 2 t7200 2.00ghz
2gb ram
Windows 7 Pro english 32bits
Xubuntu 12.04 (secondary system)
Puppy linux (secondary system)

Is your time zone still the same? Looks like the timezone changed
check ubuntu and puppy linux as well

Possible Solution Change the CMOS battery, Could be dying or weak causing the time to reset in the bios. They are fairly easy to change and fairly cheap, looks like a watch battery and you can buy them at your nearest Walmart,Rite Aid,CVS,Kmart ect ect Just take the old one with you There normally HAVE CR2032 engraved on the surface

Looks like you have a laptop, i would refer to the laptop's user manual on where the cmos battery is located.

If you dont currently Have the manual you can do a quick google search on your HP NC Series laptpop and search for a downloadable PDF type Manual Be sure to include the correct model not just HP NC series as there are different model types.

Most of the time if a battery is very low of power the clocks goes slower.... not exactly 1 hour back

Your correct , check to make sure your clock is synced with Internet time

You say.. me to make me sure that the three OS have the same time and timezone and daylight saving conf...?

xubuntu had the hour delayed, i fixed it, lets see if it does it again
