The file structure on the disk is corrupt

I've been getting the following in the event viewer the last 3 days. The file structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run chkdsk utility on the volume HP. I've ran check disk twice and I still get it. I also downloaded WD Lifeguard Diagnostics and ran the Smart Test and the Extended test and both passed with no problems.The The computer seems to be running OK. I also checked the file system and it's OK. I get Ntfs Event 55 Task category (2). This is what it shows.

No, I've done everything but that so I guess I'll do that, it won't hurt to do it. Wouldn't the WD Lifeguard Diagnostics have found any bad sectors if there were any? It ran OK.

The HD maker's diagnostics/repair CD scan finds and repairs surface errors, separate from the file system.

This is a clean install of windows 7, I reformatted on the 7th of this month and this started on the 8th. I've ran check disk twice with both boxes checked and it came back OK. The computer is running good.

I had used windows defragmentor to defag with. I installed my Perfect Disk 11 and did a boot defrag and then I defagmented the drive using Perfect Disk and then did a Smart Placement and since then the problem has been gone. This is the 2nd day without it showing up plus some other things disappeared also. Don't know why but as long as it's gone I'm happy.

Sounds better. I'd run HD Diagnostics and Disk Check periodically and keep files backed up and a backup image current.

I always keep a couple of images on an external hard drive.
