The Infernal Beast- SP1

I installed SP1 and suddenly Quickbooks won't run, AVG is disabled and I get "contribute" and plug-in errors in Outlook, IE and Word. Uninstalled SP1, but the damage seems to have been done. Oh, it also erased all my system restore points before SP1!!!!#*%@!!

I've done a repair and uninstall/reinstall of Quickbooks but it still won't run. Their techies tried and couldn't fix it. Registry Mechanic.. nope. Command line uninstall and scan, nope. Windows troubleshooting and support... of course not!

Can anybody help? Got billing to do, but without Quickbooks I'm stuck. Thanks in advance!

Running Win 7 Home Premier, 32 Bit, 2 ghz AMD Turion, 2gb ram. Quickbooks Pro 2010, Office 2010. Chrome.

I can assure you that if SP1 were causing such major issues, there would be a considerable uproar about it. It is much more likely that your system had issues prior to SP1. Considering that you even have a tool like Registry Mechanic installed makes me even more sure of it.
