the latest email scam

today i recieved this from a friends account i already know has been hacked due to other crap sent from his address.


it is just so ridiculous ,
1/ He is a uk citizen ,hes in spain (allegedly) but needs dollars ,duh!
2/ he took a trip, we dont take trips in the uk ,well not in the holiday sense
3/ he cant acsess the ATM, in uk we dont call them ATM, its called a cashpoint.
4/ if it was from my friend ,he wouldnt be asking for this sum of money as he knows my circumstances.
also he would ring my mobile for such a request.

These have been doing the rounds for quite a few years now, we get loads in the support email do to the amount of people that get mail from us.

ive blocked his email address now and will phone him to tell him to change his email address

Change the Pass code to harder one should do ...IMO

E-mail scams have been there for long time. Only the style of writing changes with time. I know some people who have burned their hands with these e-mails.


On receipt of some of these mails from our friends or acquaintances, it is better to check with them through other means before sending any money.


Previously I received an e-mail from an alleged bank representative asking me to clear my credit card bill and also informed me that the bank has sent the details to a collection agent. He said that I should contact him as soon as possible.

I stopped using this bank's credit card for more than three years as I was presently living out of my country and there was no pending amount on this card.

When I sent him a reply that there is no amount due on my credit card, he asked me to send my credit card number and other details for verification purpose. I become suspicious and wrote to him that if he is really a bank employee from credit card division, he should not be asking me my card details. That was the end of communication from him.


If we are not wary of these mails, we end up in troubles.
