This is the same computer as from this thread: http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-hel...problem-daily-hangs-bsods-unknown-source.html

My computer has been operating wonderfully for about four months without any problems whatsoever. One day, after a few hours of idling, I returned home to find it hung up (about 40 minutes after I left). This has now happened several times, where it will just randomly hang up. Additionally, there has been about 4 blue screens in the last week in addition to the hang-ups. Sometimes, they're from playing games, but they also happen while browsing web, watching video, or doing low-impact stuff.

The hang-ups are pretty random, the blue screens are usually in a fully windowed program.

I didn't make any changes. A week or so before, there might have been a windows update?

Blue screen has this message again: "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval."

I hate that message.

I've spent a few days trying things out, but don't know what it might be, so I'm hoping for some more help here. :)

As an addendum, an older game rarely causes problems, but newer game plus VLC seems to trigger blue screens fairly frequently.

I've gone from perfect running to constant problems.

This dumb message keeps popping up on my blue screen.

STOP: 0x00000101 (0x0000000000000019, 0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFF8800009EB180, 0x0000000000000001)

Some things I've already checked:

  • * Tested memory. It all seems fine.
  • * Checked temperatures. They jump up a little, as does memory load, right before the logs die, but as far as I can tell, the temperatures are not a problem, maxing out in the comfortable low 40s C.
  • * Checked for BIOS updates. There is only one update, but it's for USB stuff.

Same problem.

Still hanging up, but tends to only do so when I have something like Flash going or browsing Internet. not been doing many games. Got a temperature monitor and right up to hanging, there was nothing unusual there, but it doesn't seem to happen specifically on any program or doing anything.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
