Maybe...maybe not but I wouldn't risk it....just wait a little over 24hrs and you will be able to jump in the line with several million others for the legitimate item direct from MS.

If you have installed it already....I wouldn't do any internet banking...just in case....

My x86 hash matches
My x64 does not and it's on my main machine

It may not be infected with a virus. Some people just took away the watermark. At least that's what they say. I wouldn't trust it. Don't do any banking online, just in case.

I just switched to an x64 copy that matches. From what I'm reading, there's no difference between the current popular downloads on "alternative" sites and the real RC. So, it would be a waste of time to download the "official RC" tomorrow. I don't know....I'm sure it's been discussed here. What do you guys know? I think it's the same one. I saw a screenshot of the Technet download page and it shows the same number as the copy I'm running. What are you guys going to do?

Why is Windows 7 center.com posting this article? They are saying "today's the day the public RC is available for download" Did I miss something?

That's OK I still haven't checked the Hashes on mine either, but I did download mine from the original leaked torrent.

I would check MrGRiM.....mine was the original leaked torrent too. I didn't think for a second there was anything wrong. There may not have been.....it ran very good....but the hash didn't match the one they say is good. Might want to check.

I switched my OS and had all programs back on in 30 minutes. It's not too bad (with Windows 7) Imagine if it was XP......oh god.....it would take 2 hours.

The x86 and x64 versions were leaked by Einsteinjr on PB. The first notification about the torrent from Einsteinjr came from asfaltas on sevenforums.com. I fired up the x86 torrent (about midnight 4/24 CDT USA) and there were only 20 peers. Einsteinjr subsequently released the x64 torrent about an hour later.

When do they usually post these downloads when it's planned for a certain day? I wake up at 1 AM. I would just love for it to be there at that time. It would be 12 AM Redmond time. Do they wait until "business hours' normally?
