Hi All,

We have a laptop which has a 1gb graphics card built in which has been updated and we are trying to run sims 3 on it but after playing for a short time it crashes.
I have tried to change dep but with no luck.
The sims is upto date version 1.29.55.014001.
The windows 7 is home premium.
Has someone got this game to work without crashing?

Cheers

You might need to change the in game settings to a lower setting. That might fix it. Also get the latest driver for your video card. You could try a program like Game Booster. Some of your background processes might be making it crash.

You could try a program like Game Booster. Some of your background processes might be making it crash.
So you would install and run another application with the purpose of minimizing what the system is doing? Sounds counterintuitive, doesn't it?

Those apps are snake oil, and nothing more.

I've used them them for years. They help out a lot. I could never play Fallout New Vegas until I got one.

Sounds like you should do some research on the products. What you are seeing is the placebo effect. They don't work, and never have, especially if you set your system up properly from the beginning. Windows 7 requires no tweaking to run at it's best.
