I think the general consensus would be for you to purchase a valid copy of Windows 7 or go back to your previous OS.

That's not the point. I can get a genuine Win7 copy for free in my university (free for students), I just don't want to reinstall my OS for it's working perfect now...

Well, technically, he could alternatively install Ubuntu (or any linux-distro)..... its free too....

Then you should have not installed the Beta/RC. If you cannot be bothered to reinstall at a moments notice then running Beta/RC Operating Systems is not suited for you.
