Right-Click crash. I've googled, but I dont have the "hardware accelerator" in the 'SQDServices' area in the registry.

Oh, and sidenote from this - Does anybody know how to add 'shortcut keys' in the contextual menu? My lappy on 7 you can right click and hit "D" for delete, but my desktop wont :(

We would be able to help you more if we had a picture of the event ID and source codes. Use the built-in snipping tool (type snipping in search) and upload it using the attachment icon (shaped like a paperclip) on the reply form. See Pics

Next time it happens, I will take a pic with my cameraphone. Other than that, PrntScrn wont work, nothing does...its frozen until you restart windows explorer

Umm, can't do anything while Windows Explorer crashes bro. Kinda...freezes everything until it restarts ?

The box that pops up says Windows Explorer has stopped responding (i think)? You can't open start menu, click on desktop etc....its an EXPLORER CRASH....
I copied the instance ID again, here it is. Thats ALL THERE IS. There is that string under details, and either close program, or send to Windows for analysis.

Hello,

I suspect it's an issue with Context Menu. Download ShellExView

The rule is to disable non-Microsoft context menu handlers *one-by-one* and verify if the problem is solved. If disabling one does not solve the problem, undo the disabled item and disable the next non-Microsoft handler. Do the same until the problem is solved and finally identify the culprit. Scroll right to see the Company Name column in ShellExView.

Hope this helps,
Captain

Disabled everything not microsoft, still didnt work. An it actually lagged when I right clicked - (its never done that before). It just is a completely random instance, I can't seem to make it happen.

If you really think I need to do it individually, I'll try it, but mine were, WinRar Eset Malwarebytes Bluewire config nvidia O&O defrag sony dadc and sun microsystems

OK.. I would recommend so you could refer to this link as well Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers

Sorry to waste your time, but I read the article. I can't make it crash? It will randomly do it, and when it started i figured it was a paging/pooled memory issue (see last sentence of next paragraph).

So, to try to troubleshoot...is kind of impossible. Like I said I disabled all non-Micro processes in the contextual menus, and I'm still getting it sporadically.
Ive noticed it like I originally said while transferring whole rips of games I've backed up in .rar format.

I've got 2x2GB of Corsair (not value select) DDR2 with the heatsinks on them

Its OK mate. Next time when it crash just try to find extact what here you doing to make the crash so we can find what would the problem. Its kind of hard to troubleshoot random issues. Check you DEP Settingstry just to make that option to Esseitial Windows program. Also try to create a Test Windows Profile and see whether it happens in that profile. Report us back how it goes !!

Good Luck,
Captain
