Theme Ideas

Dear SF.
I am running out of ideas for new themes, so i would like to know, what you, the user, wants in a theme? Which style? which color? any special things? gadgets? wallpapers? etc.

a silver/chrome and blue theme would look nice

with silver scrollbars that would turn bluish on hover

then a startmenu with a chrome frame plus a dark or blurred glass for the menu itself

and a taskbar similar to this one..

Yep, I like that taskbar. That would be nice

What I would like is a red and white theme. Start menu in white folders side in red with black fonts.

Icons a bit like Grim has and of course that famous calendar clock red and white with a steak in the background like the black blue has.

Or even a black theme. I like Black but all black gets boring after a while.

A theme is nice and stays longer on a machine if it is sober (not too vivid in one color) but has detail in either the icons or the gadgets (not candy)

Take the seven forum black theme for example, I like Black, but there's too much. You got to have a bit of white (the title bars for example could be white) Too much. Here is the actual theme that I'm using (somebody knows ere I got it?)



. As you can see, I like the white in menu bar mix with Black folders menu. My tasbar is fully transparent as if icons are floating.

So, you wanted opinions, there you are.

I would love to see a pure black theme or dark theme with a white wallpaper, would be fantastic.

How about an improvement of the default Aero theme? I know the guys behind Soft7 and Windows Lighting have attempted this...but I felt it was lacking

I mean for starters...the start button could use some smoothing around the edges...they could be some more shading and whatever to improve the taskbar...the aero buttoms (min,max,close) could be improved (I bet)

I love the Aero default style...but I will admit it needs some more work...

How about you take a stab at it Sergio...it could be called AERO v2

Well , the green theme would be nice . I haven't seen a green theme yet . Usually they make green , silver , black theme .

Beside , green theme looks more natural . But don't make the whole taskbar is green . Make some changes like in edrik's link , but different colors .

Humm, preference?? Just messing with you dude.

Me and Sergio are great associates...My idea is actually more doable since he has something to base it upon...

It is hard to create something from scratch that isn't your idea

That's not my expertise. I'm very happy with whatever Sergio can dish out.

Grim , Paulie, Sergio, anthony and a few others have some nice work to show.

I wish I had Photoshop and then, I wish I knew how to use it and then, I wish I had the time to use it.

I wasn't giving a rebuttle to your statement...I was just stating a general fact...
