Theme Problems...

Yeah, that's what I was going to ask. When you choose one of those custom themes, do you get a bizarre Windows classic look with very light blue title bars and almost white windows? If so, it could indicate a problem with either not allowing custom themes or custom themes that need to be reinstalled.

If you've done an sfc /scannow, maybe a System Restore, maybe even updates, the "patched" files may have been changed back.

I use Universal Theme Patcher, for my patching, it even tells you if the files are already patched or not.
But given your circumstances, I would run it to un-patch and then re-patch the files.
